help my computer has no signal

sig rig

I've tried plugging my card in the first two pci-e slots and yes the 6 pin cables are plugged in still i get no signal from my monitor. I know the monitor works on my crappy hp computer, it has a vga input so I'm using the vga adapter.

my ud3r has lights lit up from red to yellow to green next to my ram and yellow and green in another area of the motherboard.

im about to try and only use 1 ram stick in each slot, i have my ram right now all three sticks inserted from the closest to the front of the case going inward, going the other way my hyper 212 gets in the way of the first slot.

what could seriously be wrong this is my first time building i have had a antistatic wrist strap on the whole time and stuff and as far as i can tell everything else is working

Could be a failed ram stick...try them one at a time.

I've tried each stick in almost every slot, does it matter if i can't use the slot next to the cpu because my heatsink is blocking it?

ok bump i ended up not plugging in the cpu pin power (duh...) anyways i plugged it in but now the computer starts, the fans spin for a second or two and then shut off and it loops...

could this be my cpu overheating? i really think i put to much paste on and i also had to remove the heatsink once... would that be a logical explaination?
