Go for the 570, 1 strong card is always better then 2 medium cards.

I've been running 6870 cf for over 3 months now and I never got any issue with it so far. IMO crossfire isn't as bad as some people say, It's just a matter of configuring it right.

At your resolution you will not notice the max fps you will notice minimum fps. So the only advantage 6850 xfire will give you is void. The 570 will have better minimum fps, better dx11,physx,folding,cooler,quieter,cheaper,no xfire headaches, and you can get another 570 later if you upgrade monitors. I think its pointless to deal with xfire at your resolution so the 570 is an easy choice.

Trying to push back a major upgrade another year or so...

And I ran into the same question 2x6850 vs 570.

So far I'm leaning towards 2x6850 - somewhat better benchmark results, prospect of adding third monitor.

However I still have a few questions:
What would be the overclocking possibilities of each?
What is the state of linux drivers for each case?
Is there anything else I am missing that may influence my choice?

I am using 2 monitors 1080p each, (thinking about the third one). Windows only for gaming, Linux - everything else (an occasional exception for both).
