Dismantle Corsair H70?

Thread Starter
Is it ok, to take the tubing apart on a Corsair h70 (to feed the tubes out the WC ports on my case)
To run the radiator outside my case?

Once its put back together, it wont be dismantled again.

You can do it.

However it will void warranty, and will probably have to buy tubing and refill the loop. Should have gotten a RASA kit if you wanted to mount externally.

I have seen pics of the H70 mounted into Antec 300 cases, however it is a realllly tight squeeze. As said above, you will void warranty and risk future issues if you take apart the closed loop. I even had to "mod" (chop off a little bit of my side panel fan mount) to get my side panel to close on my Antec 902.

edit: search "Antec 300" in the official H50/H70 thread in this section. This came up on the top of page 1322

Im getting a NZXT phantom tomorrow.
My mobo has a heatsink that sticks out 1cm from the rear exhaust.
So mounting the h70 inside is a no can do, as the radiator would be in the way of the NB heatsink.

(think its the northbridge?)

So, if i am to thread the NEW tubing outside of the case, what do I need?
required tubing, coolant ?
Etc.

Btw Rasa kit is not in my country, have looked at that extensively.

costs 300$ after getting it into the country, NTY.

You could make a 200-120mm adapter for the second 200mm spot(been done on this site, look in the phantom club thread) Or you could mount the H70 in the 5.25 bays.

OK I WILL GO AHEAD.

Ill make it work.
So determined.
And so keen, atm I want to overclock, with a stock cooler, so I stuck a 12cm fan to the stock cooler, with blu-tak, and using a led light to hold it in place, dropped 5 celcius biggrin.gif

Once you remove the original tubing it will need to be replaced given its nature and how it's sealed.

You should be able to get away without using a reservoir but it will take some trick filling on your part.

Here's my H70 (modded) system that will soon be replaced.
