When I was a teenager, I never played video games with my parents. This could be related to the fact at the time of my teenage years, I was not a console gamer I was a PC gamer. I spent much of that time bouncing from CS to COD and also Gunz. Now as a female over 20, my parents understand my gaming habits. The fact is I don't need video games to bond with my parents as I already have a close relationship with them without needing to use another medium. The fact that I might have a close relationship with them could be because I'm an only child.
I would like to say though my reaction time has improved playing FPS. I'm at this point in my PC gaming career that I want to be heavily involved in playing more RTS.
