benefit from physx? - Page 2

With PhysX you get a lot more particles in the air and on the ground after an explosion. Aside from that you have realistic behavior of clothes (best I've ever seen in any game) and a lot of environmental destruction in various stages.

There's no noticeable performance hit if you use a Fermi card or a high end GTX 2xx card.

It's more of a boost than Quad Fire is.

Nothing here makes me think that spending cash on a dedicated Physx GPU makes any sense whatsoever.

Look at Metro or Batman comparisons for a better visual of PhysX.

I wish more games used GPU accelerated PhysX.

You already have a GTX 480 so you don't need to spend any more cash on a Physx card.
I see plenty of differences in that video alone but hey, everyone has different preferences.

I think its definitely worth it for Batman Arkham Asylum. I'm a perfectionist, I mean I'm jealous of people who have monitors higher than my 1080p monitor. I want to experience even better graphics.

I don't think I know of any other game that I play that uses physx unless I forgot of one... Oh yeah, I used it in Mafia 2 too. But I think its a bit more noticeable in Batman. I mean if its off you can't move papers with your feet and if you shoot at something with your bat-claw debris won't come off of it if you don't have physx on. Also you get to see leaves and other debris blow around outside.
