New Build: need best of the best budget am3 parts

Thread Starter
Alright so I'm building for a friend on a pretty limited budget. What I need is the best budget am3 motherboard, in terms of OCability, and all other components for these price ranges 550, 650, and 750. 100 percent of the usage will be on gaming. I want to give him some options. SSD is preferred in this build. Motherboard preference is 2 pci-e at at least 8x/8x. But any will do.

Why is everyone suggesting generic RAM!?
Both suggestion so far all have generic and overpriced and disoptimal configurations especially on the memory. I mean, look at this - single DIMM of generic!? You're looking at the worst possible performance you can get. You should be going to dual channel (HUGE difference) and at least 1600Mhz RAM which is in fact cheaper than everything generic out there so far!
I suggest this kit: Team 1600 CL9

There are some other things I'm picky about i.e. power supply choice (price, Neo ECO 620W = better than 520W for price right now). Look out for hard drive choice, often you may be able to find better HDD deals for the price - on Newegg the WD Blue 500GB is $32 after promo, say - great deal, much cheaper than all the other 500GBs that are what, $10 less than 1TB drives!?

Some places I like, particularly the suggestion of the excellent K58W case

It's 11:05 and tomorrow is a busy day - I'd come out with a full suggestion like I usually do for a lot of people here but earliest I can do is tomorrow afternoon I guess
The rest of you have it from here. Also just so you know, you picked a perfect price point ($550-750) to do an AMD build

He's gaming! As long has he has 4gbs of working RAM, he'll be fine.

dont go power color, try msi for your gpu. they have great gpus. 460s with 768mb of ram go for 150,a nd the upgrade to 1gb is only like 20 bucks on newegg.

Ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227507 $40 shipped after $10 mir (OCZ stuff worries me a bit based on reviews, but if you plan on playing, can yield good timings and speed for the $$)
GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161338 $99 shipped after $30 mir
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341017 $55 shipped after $15 mir
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119137 $70 after $10 mir
HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822152185 $65 shipped

GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127551 $160 shipped after $20 mir
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341017 $55 shipped after $15 mir

Gaming should prefer low timings for better FPS!
I think Badwrench and RabbitGT have the win here now

Mm those all look very delicious. I think ill go with a true quad option if possible. Looking to be pretty frugal. What do you guys think, 555 or 925?
