UD3R or Rampage III Extreme/Formula

hi guys im planning on getting the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R, but I know the ASUS Rampage III Extreme/Formula is probably the best x58 board there is. I just was wondering is it worth the extra $100 for Formula, or extra $180 for Extreme.

R3E ($287)

Since some people here have had good luck with these in the past. It's a hit or miss thing though, some might come with or without I/O shield, etc. Just thought I throw it out there.

^ They have most of the stuff there including I/O shield for both models and you could just download the software and drivers directly from Asus (in case the CD's are missing from the box).

would it be easy to install the pieces if i didnt get some of them? I would really love to get the extreme, just the price issue

Which pieces are you worried about? I mean there's I/O shield and the installation is pretty straight forward, a fan to cool NB but most people here doesn't use it anyway.
