6950s will be considerably faster. Here is how 2 6950s compare to 2 GTX 480s (keep in mind the 480s are about 15% faster than a 560). Anandtech dont have results for 560 SLI (yet) so this is close enough. On the whole the 6950s are better because they are faster at stock, and they scale better.

As far as overclocking is concerned. Just because a 560 can do 950 on the core and a 6950 can only do 900 (for example), doesnt mean the 560 will net more performance because the 6950s also get a good performance boost from the memory, and most of theirs can hit between 1350Mhz and 1450Mhz. Oh, and most unlock so you would have 2 6970s then tongue.gif

Get a good quality 750W PSU or higher, like Antec or Corsair. XFX tend be to cheap compared to others and are modular and perform amazing so you may want to check one of those out.

Id go for an 800/850w PSU just to give you a little breathing room
post #26 of 38
That kind of power begs for triple monitors
6950 is superior in that area thanks to the 2GB vRAM

Raw performance I'd say 570 SLI, plus that gives you Phyzx support and well supported 3D

Voting 570 SLI for raw performance when price isn't an issue

edit: my bad it was for 560Ti, voting 6950 then ...

That powersupply should be fine, from what I've seen most of the higher watt cooler masters are pretty solid

THIS IS NOT TRUE AT ALL!! The 560 in sli , is not getting spank by anything! and does perform better than 6950 cf , on some benchmarks. ( im not talking about unlocking anything blah blah blah) out of the box for a single 560 is 50$ less than the 6950. spanking???????? they perfom great and there cheaper!!!

this review shows lots of bencmarks on the 560, and 560 sli vs all major cards out right now , including 6950, 6950 cf....check it out!!!

I dont get it hardocp reviews the 6950 & the 560 together & stated that the 6950 was overall more powerful then the 560ti but @ hardware heaven its a completely different scene it shows the 560 nec n neck with the 6950 or even beating the 6950.
