I am kinda having buyers remose over not going for an GTX570... I mean, I'm happy with an HD6970, VERY happy, but just seems like everyone recommends a GTX570 instead, and I am getting a bit sad about that.
XF 6970 is a better option. 2GB memory would be more than sufficient for 1080p.

Yeah I remember you had that HD5970, I also went from an HD5970, and got this HD6970, I might have a bit less FPS in some games, but I am really happy and prefer this over the HD5970 ^^.

As of DX11, is the HD6970 also good like the GTX570?

I enjoy my GTX 570... but I don't think you're missing out, honestly. Unless you want to also fold on the card... then--yes you sure as hell are

I enjoy Folding too, that's why I bought a GTX460 last christmas to be my 2600k's friend while Folding

But realized it was too much heat for my room, so I took it back to the store.

I'm just happy with 2600k Folding -Bigadv units, don't really want to fold on the 6970 even if it had good PPD.

I'm glad that you're saying that, as a 570 user, you made me rly happy

Haha I know just giving you a hard time. TBH, CPU folding is a lot better. Even with my window open and a fan going bringing in some chilly air, GPU folding really turns my room into a toaster. Fairly large room, too. I generally only do it when I'm gonna be out of it for awhile.

I guess if it would REALLY make you happy, return the 6970 and get a gtx 570... but I don't think you'd honestly see any noticeable difference besides inner peace? That is what it is all about, right?

It's not like I'm sad with my HD6970, I'm really enjoying it.

But I kinda feel sad when I see all this HD6970 vs 570 threads, they're tied on gaming, yet everyone says 570... and I don't get why... 6970 is cheaper in europe and performs the same, yet it also scales better in CF.

And yeah, GPU folding even on a cool GTX460 it made my room feel like a toaster, 2600k folding alone now and I don't even notice

I think I will keep this HD6970, I can't return it now, and after seeing reviews of both cards, I shouldn't be sad about this beast

I may get her a new friend called Sapphire (Hey, im sapphire too baby) 6970 for CF in the next 2 months lol.

Ahh it is cheaper in EU? Then definitely stay. I assumed they were pretty much the same price. CF it!

6970 is a 250w GPU. That xfx unit can pull 64a/744w on 12v and it usually does more than its specs but GPU cf at stock so it should be fine.

Thank you sir.

You think I could also do a slight OC on both of the cars in future? Not like I'll need it, but just wondering, or with 2 on stock am I pressing the XFX too far already?
