[TechReport] MPAA threatens to disconnect Google from the Internet - Page 6

Exactly what I was thinking. Since when has the Motion Picture Association of America had the authority to control a private company's ability to access/broadcast content on the internet? I can understand trying to stop the illegal spread of their material, but, honestly now, you shouldn't make threats that you cannot keep. Trying to disconnect Google from the internet would almost certainly go down in history as "The Day The MPAA Tried To Kill The Internet", followed, in a week, by "The Day The Internet Killed The MPAA", of course, not literally (hopefully at least. We're all civil, right)?

(Google is larger than Microsoft + AOL + AT&T COMBINED)

Yahoo = $16.62Up 0.03 Up 0.15% 9:44AM EST (16.62 Billion)
(Smaller than Sony)

That's a 36 Billion to 1 Billion Ratio!! Yeah Yahoo blows..

No $ to make their engine better...
You got trolled.

Anyways....Google is Skynet. This a complete joke MPAA or any other company can't touch Google.

Hah have fun with disconnecting someone that has become the internet, and backed by almost everybody in the world. Imagine a boycott of those proportions it would be a disaster

~Jay Z

All these GOV's trying to cash in on the net....

Cant control SPACE... that's what the net is, SPACE.
Even if they shut the net down, wouldn't we just find a way to make a mesh network?

Wake up WORLD! Linux is here, open source is here, Piracy IS HERE!
Whats FREE next is the real question.
Electricity (done-if you go to solar)
Internet (done-Wifi hijacking)

Google... A free service.... yet so prosperous. Ironic Don't you think?

You know you are big when you got a ARMY of haters.

Hears to you GOOGLE
