I made my computer go so fast, it caught itself on fire. I have proof, see? (show picture now).

Can you give me money?

Thanks.'

I didn't read the entire thread. Nice pics, though. Question: how many pci power connectors does your power supply have? I have a silver certified 900W PSU and it doesn't have enough pci connections to power another gtx 470. Did you use the molex to pci conversion connections that came with the gpu or does your psu have 6 pci connections?

Damn, You have your A, B, and C bags plus a damn desktop? That must have been a ***** to carry. What size pelican case fit your desktop? It is an awesome idea for next time, plus when you PCS.

Quick Note: This is the PSU I'll replace the Silencer with if it dies.

If I drain it and remove all the external parts it will fit in my Pelican Case. I'm not sure of the model, but when I get to work tomorrow I'll take a pic and some measurements. It's like 1940 here so a little too dark for that.

I bought three Y-Cables from Frozen CPU. I could have made my own but felt like being lazy. I did make my own 3pin Y-Cable for my Fans.

Since my PSU has a single 12v Rail it really doesn't hurt anything to run it like this. With the large gauge wire and single rail I'm not putting any more of a load on the system than if I used the molex plugs.

And I can definitely see how your PSU can't keep up with all those cards + CPU being OC'd. Be careful...I'm willing to bet it won't keep up for long...

Thread Starter

Question guys, you've seen my rig and how much stuff I have in there. Well I'm getting ready to order a new PSU (linked earlier in the thread) as I was browsing Amazon I saw this:

.

What I'm wonder in is at this price I could snatch it up and throw a double 120 in the bottom with two to four 12mm fans. This should help lower temps for the time being. Then when I order an new case from Case Labs I could use this to run my file server, which I'm going to need a case for anyway. Any thoughts or would this just be a waste of 90 bucks?
