Whats your system doing then? Is it posting? Screen coming on? Or does it just powerup (ie fans start spinning) and screen stays blank?

This is disappointing. You guys are suggesting things that probably won't work, the OP isn't even following them...
FIRST of all, post your full specs in your signature by going to here.
SECOND, try a CMOS reset via battery pull or jumper.
THIRD, removing necessary components completely like CPU or all RAM will obviously result in no POST.

my MSI board did that anytime i pushed it too far, I left it off unplugged from wall for a hour and it came back on saying OC failed, some times holding in the power button when turning it one for 30sec - 1 min got the screen to light up again.

If no luck, unplug the power connector from the mb, and the battery too.
