lol @ the excuses everyone is making

If this were an Intel thread, the AMD guys would be laughing and speculating wildly.

Link doesn't work for me.

Wasn't it you like 5 days ago who told me that buying AMD was a bad Idea?

As I understand it, these were 2 top Execs, that are suddenly leaving AMD, 2 months (supposedly) before BD launches.

It makes you wonder.
Or BD is a NEW ERA for AMD and these guys are getting cut out of the deal.
Bom bom bommm

Don't blame it on a product that hasn't even come out yet. Theirs already enough INTEL VS AMD bouts on this Forum. Especially with IB/SB vs BD

Well... yeah. I mean I was just in a store the day AMD released the six-core processors and some dude went "DUDE! A 6-core processor has come out!" And I went "Meh... I knew it was coming out for awhile now."

On topic...

I hope they didnt fire these guys because of this new naming convention that they thought up.

Anyway, it's puzzling. Just wanted to know if the AMD afficionados on here had read/heard anything as to why.

Intel going away would do anything but lower prices, AMD would jack up prices exactly like intel would if AMD went away. These are major corporations out to make money. AMD isn't selling cheaper cpu's because they're your friend, they're selling them cheaper than intel because thats the area of the market they are most competitive in since intel has had the high end performance crown since socket 939.

This could mean 1 of 100 things, also this is not indicative of AMD demise. they hold the greater portion of the graphics card market and I have been seeing more and more pre-built AMD systems hitting the consumer shelves, they seem alive and well to me.

I think that they may of been part of the old team and AMD wants a new direction, so out with the old and in with the new.
