Well, let's hope that he will be satisfied with his rig. After all, he ( and the OCN Community ) has worked hard to fix it.

He was in private communication with someone in PM's and Instant Messaging and convinced him to go with a cheaper build which is quite disappointing.

$4000 budget for 3D rendering.
Bought a beautiful $1,300 "30 Monitor
$2,700 left to spend on the PC.
Spent $1,700 instead.

His purchase is on page 31

The build I suggested was based on the $2,700 he had left and mentioned that his son already had Windows XP and I figured he would get windows 7 (or 8) for free when he goes to college.

These events were more disappointing then the ending of No Country for Old Men.

Should have gone 2500k or 2600k over an 950. Also aren't there issues with these Eco drives failing when people use them frequently and not really as storage? And why mx-2 compound and not ic7 and should of gotten a better cooler too.

You can't be sure. He might have picked up the hint when all advised against that hard drive. Maybe he listened, or the guy on im/pm listened

We advised against Sandy Bridge because of the faulty sata ports. (And he couldn't wait for the revision)
