and we were both wrong... Its 2tb MAX for the partition, the operating system plays a part in it as well.

Then maybe a dual-partition drive, where the OSX portion is FAT32, and the non OSX portion is NTFS.

But in general, NTFS is the way to go, unless you need cross-platform compatibility.

it looks like you can reformat time capsule format. Personally dont see any problems with Fat32 except file limitation to 4gb which is not big of a deal for me.

NTFS=New Technology File System
FAT32=File Allocation Table

the New Tech is always better. also FAT32 has a 4GB file size limit.
NTFS is faster, safer, and every HDD should use it for windows.
