Thread Starter
i have a PH 2 955 3.2 processor a asus am2 m3m-h hdmi board and 1066 hyper x ram , im a newby to all this ive tried the default bios overclock works but BSD all the time ive tried manual got it to 3.8 again bsd , if i alter the fsb or multiplier in any way it will boot but blue screens randomly matbe hours later or under stress playing games.

I can buy a AM3 set up or buy a i7 930 which isnt really gonna benifit me for gaming i dont think..

Boards dont really get to old to OC. As long as bios allows you, have at it.

Have you tried overclocking the CPU by only raising the CPU multiplier? And don't start with 3.8Ghz but try 3.4 - 3.6Ghz first.

Throw some more volts through it. Mine needs 1.55v for 3.8ghz with just a multiplier increase.
