If you have a black edition chip make sure you overclock by the multiplier... you don't want to run your ram outta spec... worry bout that later... make sure your voltage is good... what are you using to test it... prime95 is what I use... also make sure you use a temp monitoring program to make sure your not getting the chip too hot... etc etc...

Your system has potential... took a lot of fiddling to get my old phenom to 3.0 ghz but I did it and it should be much easier to get a phenom II pretty high...

Increased voltage to 1.45cpu and nb at 1.4 increased multilier to 19 for 3.8. Blue screen as soon as i ran prime , back down to 17.5 running at 3.7ghz running prime now fingers crossed. Cpu at 57 degrees is this fine and will i need more voltage to get higher..thxs

I didn't see it anywhere, but what is your ram set to? It could very well be your ram that is causing the problems.
