What do you do? Gaming, photo/video editing, internet browser? Judging by the card, it's gaming oriented.

In that case, you could forgo the deals i listed above and instead pick up the mobo from combo deal 1 and get the X4 965 black edition processor and still end up at less than $400 Because, as you may already know, the six cores while nice, won't do you any good in gaming.

Nice I havent had an amd build since 2003 lol. I know nothing of their processors. Are they really good? and what is the difference between the x6 and x4. I would prefer to just go with the faster one. I also thought that amd overheated a lot?

Are there any Intels out there that have no recalls? Like the I7 or I5. I will jump my budget up to $500 if I have to. I just want to get the best and be done with it for the next 1-2 years.

X6 = 6 cores. X4 = you get the picture. For purely gaming purposes, you don't really need the extra cores as they won't benefit you in gaming.

You could you go 1156. But i would advise against that. You're better off with Sandy Bridge/1155. Intel's Ivy Bridge platform coming out late this year/early next will also drop into current 1155 hardware -- a rare occurrence for Intel hardware.

1366 won't fit under $500 (please someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

ahh okay, what i might do is just go with an amd setup since i need one now and later this year Q4 upgrade to an intel. So the combos you showed me would be a great setup then?
