Yesterday, I invested in a budget build while I save for a phenom 1090t. The budget build houses a sempron 140, 2gb ram (DDR3 1333mhz) and a gigabite motherboard. Now I also brought a Corsair CWCH50-1, which will later move to the 1090t's build but the question is this. How far do you think the sempron 140 will go as far as overclocking is concerned?

Depends on the motherboard, but the cooling system provides enough cooling for high overclocks.

Do not overclock on that perticular board with anything other then the Sempron 140. And even then, the mosfets on the board have no cooling and with the H50 there will be no airflow over the mosfets and chokes. It only has 3+1 phase design. The Sempron 140 has a tdp of just 45w, when unlocked it will pull 65w easely, add a overclock and you'll be pushing it.

Can you invest in a PC? I thought they depreciated over time?
