Before you try the RMA... install the card with one built in pcie connector and one using the molex to 6pin adapter. Your screen going blank tells me its psu related...

I think you're right. I put back in my working 6870 and kept on getting BSOD. I heard this horrible sound from inside my case and just assumed it was the card. Today I opened up the case and turns out the noise is coming from the PSU. Basically, going to check the card when my new PSU arrives on saturday. Hoping it's actually working and it's just been the PSU all along!

To be on the safe side, I started using the 6pin adapter last week, b/c both my built in pci-e power connectors use the first 12 rail. Psu temps are waay down too lol..

Have you tried the gpus on a different rig ?
