I cant decide, the Asus is win 7 32bit and the hp is 64bit os, the hp has a slightly smaller screen. The hp is cheaper. What should i get? I need something portable and under $500

-Main uses taking notes in school/mobile school work.

I would definitely go with the HP dm1z
I like Asus more than HP as a company but
looking at the specs/components and price, HP dm1z wins here

-dm1z has a faster cpu than 1215N (not by far but still faster)
-dm1z also has so called "free upgrades" provided by HP so you can get 320gb hdd and
3gb RAM compared to 1215N's 250gb hdd and 2gb RAM
-dm1z's hdd is also 7200rpm which is faster than 1215n's 5400rpm hdd
-dm1z also has a better construction I've heard.. ppl say that 1215N feels flimsy, especially the keyboard
-dm1z also has a longer battery life ( 2 or 3 hours more than 1215N )

and overall, dm1z is CHEAPER than the 1215N
