Pretty Excited!!

Thread Starter
i just bought an Asus p8p67 LE off of amazon with my state return last night. once asus makes the announcement, i will send it in for the free replacement. either tomorrow or friday when i get my federal return, ill be picking up an i5-2500k, 4gb of g skill ripjaws x series ram, and a gigabyte video card, nvidia 8400 gs i believe.... dont need anything special for what i do.
but talk about excitement. i was excited before, and now that ive actually purchased the first component in my new build, its like a whole different level...

just wanted to share with the only group of people i know that can relate... (is that sad?)

I attempted to buy an H67 board off the bay but the guy cancelled the auction. Already have a P67 build and snatched an i5 2400 for cheap $140 bucks shipped and have everything ordered except the motherboard. This will replace the laptop in my bedroom that sits on an 'overbed table' for surfing the net and watching videos in bed.

Been folding with my P67 rig basically since I got it, at 4.3 which is plenty high for me and rock stable without any added effort on my part.

A bigadv unit gives around 81,000 points and takes 47 hours to complete if you don't use the computer at all at 4.3 ghz. I don't plan to fold once it gets warmer, not going to add $20 bucks a month to the electricity bill then have to spend another 20 to cool down the room from the first 20's heat production. But in the winter it doesn't add much to the bill.
