[Euro-Gamer] Acti explains Guitar Hero, True Crime cull - Page 5

But... but... NOOOOOOO!!!!!

I like feeling like i'm a rockstar!!!! THIS IS NOT FAIR!!!

Seriously.... I'm actually upset. I do play real games, and I play real guitar, and piano.... BUT!!!! NOOOO!!

Oh well, I guess I'll just have more time to get better at Test Drive Unlimited 2, or Photoshop....

In all seriousness, I didn't read the article, but why now? If they were going to kill it off they could have stopped before Band Hero. DLC is fine by me.

emmmh between guitar hero or going to see my mothers friend who play cello . much more enjoyable and you feel a sense of achievement when you get the hang of it a little .

You don't need your Xbox to say you did an achievement for you to know you have when you learn how to play such a master piece of an instrument .

I've played Guitar Hero and Rock Band a few times but I never really got into it as much as others did. It's probably because I'm not a big fan of the music that those two games cater to. I'm more of a R&B and electronic music guy.

Guess you didn't read my other post in this thread explaining my rationality. But even if taken at face value, how couldn't it be hypocritical? You don't know who I am, what I play, or if I even play video games (I do but still).

This.

Rock lives on in people who like it like me. People think I'm crazy for listening to a lot of 70's/ classic rock but who cares?

Also, why don't people learn to play a real guitar? The skills needed to be "good" at rockband are basically the same amount of effort as a real guitar

just like everything mainstream - it becomes popular, then dies, and nobody cares anymore.

I see a pattern here, it seems like the people who don't like Guitar Hero don't seem to have friends.

Guitar Hero is not a normal game, just like the Wii is not a normal gaming console, they are both made mainly for groups. I hardly play GH any more, but it's fun as hell when family and friends come over. It's a social game, not a serious one.

Either way I think there is enough versions, plus all they need to do is give new songs in some nicely priced DLC packs.
