its simple, im building a gaming pc so which is better. I plan on doing SLI or crossfire but what card should i get?

Lol of course the 580 is better, but it also costs more then twice as much.

6950 for saving some money while still having really good performance

Well my guess is that you wouldnt put the 580 in the equation if you didnt have the money, so it is not even close. "580"!! I just got mine and they blow the 5870 away. I am happily surprised.
