Ok so im sick of my xion 1000watt for cable management, makes my case look ugly and cluttered, and others members said its a crappy brand.

So i have to questions

1. Am i going to need a 1000watt or 1200wat psu for this set up: 2 hdd, 1ssd, 2 gtx 590s or amd 6990s (with water blocks), i7 950 oc, dvd drive, water cooling set up, 7 120mm fans @1850 rpms,2 180mm fans, and some lights for show.

2. is Ultra a good brand?? im looking at the x4 1200watt and the x3 1000watt.
i like the cable management and looks of these psu compared to others, im hoping there high end.

thanks for the help!

1. No 1kw is a tad high i believe but I don't knwo the power draw off of those though
2. Ultra is in general garbage too.
Look at antec's HCG-1000w, silverstone Strider Gold 1000w, Corsair ax1200.

Ultra PSU range from garbage to mediocre. There are a few X3 that are decent.

If you're going to spend money on (2) GTX 590 or (2) 6990; then a high end PSU like the AX1200 or HCP-1200 is in order.

What are you doing that you need (2) 590 or (2) 6990?
I just don't see the purpose for (4) Gtx 580 or (4) 6970 horsepower.

1. You are talking 2x gtx590 and 6990. No official numbers yet but 2x of them easily takes 600w+. Yes, it is about to get a solid 1000w unit with a bit headroom in mind.
2. You can have x3 or x4 as they are different than the rest of ultra series. Depending on the price, you can also take at other psus such as Corsair 1000hx ect. Make up the budget, members will help you pick a good one.

What are you using quad sli or quad fire on if you don't mind me asking.
I just don't see the purpose for (4) Gtx 580 horspower.
Well im not getting 2 at lunch but plan to have 2 eventually, and i will be purchasing a 30" monitor running 2560x1600, and i want one where i can have everything or almost everything(mobo, cpu) unplugged from the psu.

how is this psu? Silverstone Zeus ZU1200M ATX

kind of only want to pay 280ish but if i have to i might pay more... i just dont want to get screwed over with this xion, plus its cable management is ugly

Look at my recommendations. HCG might be HCP though.
AFAIK that silverstone doesn't like temps higher then 40 and then overtemp kicks in.

Antec, Corsair & SeaSonic are always a safe bet. I believe Corsairs AX series are made by SeaSonic anyway (as are many of there PSU's)

Ax750,850 are Seasonic, Ax1200 is Flextronics.
