thanks guys, I was worried, yes my pc runs very stable, no crashes so I was thinking maybe a bad sensor or something related to bios/ software. thanks for clearing my head.

I have had some sensor issues with this mobo before where it would lock the CPU temp as 99C so I updated the bios and then it started showing accurate temps of say 40-60C (idle - load)

If that were totally accurate you would be unstable as stated before. The good news is under-volting just causes instability, the odds of damage are less than over-volting. Either way if you pull it out and test it with a multi-meter or a good PSU tester I would trust that more. Software readings are more useful for how stable your power is under load/idle states, etc, not for the baseline reading.
