Best single card for BF:Bad Company 2 - Page 3

I don't get the different variation in performance graphs between the gtx570 and 6950/6970. I see some as the 570 ahead and some benchies with the 6950 even beating the 570 out.

It depends on the resolution. Above 2560x1600 even the 6950 is better than the 570.

6970 or 570.
6970 CF is more powerful than 570 SLi tho.
choose wisley.
i can max out BC2 with my 5830 @ 925/1120Mhz and X3 550BE @3.85Ghz with 4xAA with about 40-50fps, so any of those cards should work fine.

1GB, the memory from each card does not add up.

I don't get how you're struggling with a 5870 to get past 60 FPS in BC2. In my previous configuration with an overclocked QuadCore socket 775 at 3.3Ghz I can run:

Min - 36
Avg - 61
Max - 105

with max settings 1920x1200 resolution with exception of HBAO & Bloom off. I swapped to Sandy Bridge I7 2600K and stock settings I can average about 75 FPS sometimes dipping down to mid 45's if I sit in the tank and someone keeps blasting from the Bradley. This is at 1920x1200 with HBAO off and bloom off again.

Min - 35
Avg - 74.732
Max - 125
(This is sig rig at stock settings no OC's)

But something definitely does not add up in your configuration like others have mentioned. Processor shouldn't matter as much for gaming though, an overclocked 920 should be able to get something similar I'd imagine. So I'd hold off on the idea of videocards and check your configuration. But each of these tests benchmark is done in one map of gameplay to get the overall average.

But the GPU in BC2 is 99% usage according to PlayClaw.

6950
6970
GTX 560
GTX 570
These will all do the job fine. Just get the cheapest and save the money.
