So since I had some money laying around and saw this.

I decided to have a look at how much these fans cost, I found they were almost $20 a pop + shipping. Then after a quick search on amazon I found them with red LED's for $12.37.

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Penetrator-Channeling-1500rpm-AP121-RL/dp/B00452V26A/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=industrial&qid=1297311243&sr=8-5"]Amazon.com: SilverStone Air Penetrator Air Channeling Case Fan with Red LED Light 120*120*25mm/1500rpm AP121-RL (Silver): Industrial & Scientific[/ame]

Without thinking I bought up two. Did I do good? Will I regret this purchase ? I currently have 2 1900rpm scythe slipstreams.

I don't see it doing too much, but I am looking at it from my perspective where my rear case fan is only an inch away from my cpu cooler, so it wouldn't help much.

useless as a heatsink fan, apparently pretty good of a case fan though.

these are great for top exhaust fans, getting the air away from the case quickly

Umm the whole point of the design of this fans is to focus the airflow, something that doesn't matter in the slightest bit for an exhaust fan...

Yup these are nice intakes, I like them going through the HDD bay.

Awesome.

I will test them out as both exhaust and intake and see whats better temp wise.

It might make rear air intakes (open PCI slots) viable since the hot air is getting ejected to 1 meter away instead of hanging around the back of your case waiting to get sucked back in.

But any fan works for that.

Are those worth the $12.99? The review on amazon shows that one guy was let down by them.
