Thread Starter
asus crosshair formula iv motherboard
amd phenom ii x4 965 be

is what i intend to buy

i was thinking of going with the x6 1090t so i can oc, but i would need massive cooling so i need a massive heat sink. I will be gaming and only gaming with browsing skyping vent and possibly at times dual games up.

I also need ram. preferebly 8gb or so. This setup needs to be under $500 (hoping near $400)

The 965 will do you justice and there is no need for anything more than 4GB of good ram for gaming.

Also where are you situated in the world ? For pricing purposes.

Also you don't need a 1090T just to overclock, the 965 will do just a good a job, also a good heatsink doesn't have to expensive. A CollerMaster Hyper 212 plus will fit the bill.
