Random freezes/BSODs?!

Hey.

Ok this is a bit weird.. I don't know what the **** is going on.

Story short, a few months ago I bought a used PC with Q9950/GTX 460/a 1TB samsung HDD/Coolermaster Advanced case/samsung DVD/fan controller/8GB ocz ram/evga 790i ultra sli something.

Okay at that time, I wasn't OC'ing. I had watercooling. I did get SOME random BSODs and freezes.

Now weird thing.

I now bought:

P8P67 Deluxe
i5 2500K + Noctua D-14
4GB G-Skill 1600 mhz CL7 1.35v (Althought they only want to run 1600 Mhz cl9/1333mhz CL7)
1TB Black (Using for OS now)
And one more GTX 460

Weird thing is.. I STILL get random freezes / BSODs ? The freezes it just freeze and I have to close the computer.. BSODS swell they're bsods..

but its really random.

Yesteday I got about.. 20 ?!

But last week I got 2 or something.

It's really random.

I've tried changing memory timings/mhz a lot of times to see and it still happend.

Also tried leaving my i52500K not OC'ed, still same.

Ive ran Prime95 for 12 hours small ftts without any problems! And 3DMark test, heaven test, LinX for long aswell .. No freezes / BSODs?

What is wrong?

As far as I can see:

DVD - but is that even possible?
The samsung 1TB could be the causing.. althought when I try to unplug it and boot with the 1TB WD Black it wont boot.. then it says I need to insert some boot device or something.. althought OS is on the Black, and there's nothing on the 1TB Samsung :O its formatted.

What you think? Sorry for the bad english, I'm danish smile.gif

Hope you can help.. I'm really lost here redface.gif

You said at that time you weren't overclocking, are you overclocking now?

Did you check that you plug it in the sata6g ports to cut down the problem? Also clean installed OS and install the latest inf and intel engine management driver?

Yes, I wasn't overclocking at that time (and still got the freezes) and now I am overcloking.

Yes, clean install, installed in 6g ports.

Best to provide ur overclocking specs, what voltage are you pumping etc etc. Also bios flashed to the latest? And does it randomly freeze if you don't overclock?

Two different setups doing the same thing its either a piece of hardware that you havnt changed eg. DVDdrive or power supply. Or its some software that you have had installed on both setups

Yes, what I thought too. Thing is, I got a freeze when it was just clean installed redface.gif

So I think its the hardware.

Can the DVD drive cause this problem? or should I look into buying a new power supply? I thought of that already, since I wand a modular.

Ok.

I was away from the computer, and when I came back it was frozen (only browser open).

I then turned it off manually and turned it on again, and when it booted up etc when I logged in I got BSOD with following:

STOP: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000, 0FFFFFA8006C5C5A028, 0x000000BE2000000, 00000000005110A)

Atm. its fine after.
