found em. thanx guys for all the help.

now im just trying to weigh the benefits vs risks of using thermal tape or a permanent thermal adhesive.

what do you guys think? adhesive or tape?

the adhesive is better for thermal conduction.

1 more question. thermal adhesive, or tape? the sinks came with tape. but wouldnt adhesive perform better at transfering the heat?

I would use the tape just beacuse you can reapply the sinks if you do something wrong because thermal adhesive is permanent you can't remount the sinks even if youu wanted to

Yes, thermal adhesive compound transfers heat better and it is permanent. Tape has relatively lower conductivity and it is less permanent.

Whether the permanency is a virtue or vice, it depends. It makes the little heatsink hard to be removed (if necessary) but it also means that the heatsink has less chance of falling off after an extended period of service time.

i plan on keeping these video cards for a while. will using the adhesive decrease the resale value at all? if it were me id like the extra cooling on the vrms if i was in the market to buy a used graphics card.
