Would a GeForce GTX 560 work in my computer?

Planning on getting this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-565-_-Product

Or this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-604-_-Product

This is my whole computer:
(No overclocking on anything. Also its slowing down with newer games )

CPU: Q6600 2.4Ghz (7.1 windows experience index)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115017

GFX: 8800 GTX (7.1 wei gfx/game gfx)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...D=3463938&SID=

A 20 inch and a 19 inch monitors are plugged in. Both LCD.

MOBO: Intel extreme series
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813121059

Memory: 4GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (7.1 wei)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145177

Internal Hard Drive: wei 5.8 (lowest thing in comp)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136073

External:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136747

Case + psu: 500 watt (apparently a crappy psu but still works after 3 years)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811156098

Funny thing that I just noticed after having this setup for 3 years was that the back fan on my comp (that gave out a year ago and hasnt been replaced) was an 80 mm and not a 120 like newegg claims. The only 120 is the front fan. The sides are 80 like they should be. The back of the case shown looks different than the one I have even though it is the same product. I guess it changed in 3 years?

CD/DVD
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827135156

Mouse + KB are usb. KB wireless, mouse is not.

Any thoughts, feedback or help would be appreciated!

IMO the GTX560TI will be fine,500W is more than enough power, but the Q6600 will be a small bottleneck.

Except it's not a 500w, it's closer to a bad 200w power supply.

agreed just because it says 500watt doesnt mean it can run at that if u were to draw 450 watts from that psu continually it would die in a matter of days

Wow thanks for all the replies!

Anyways, I figured I'd have to get a better psu and with a better one I would be able to overclock the cpu (I've never overclocked before so I'm a little scared ). Also that means I would have to find replacement fans for my case because overclocking would make it really hot right?

Currently the temps seem really high though...(I'm using CPUID hardware monitor)
CPU: idles at about 53 C, when gaming it can hit about 78 C

GPU: idles about 65, gets up to mid/high 80s

All the parts in my comp have been handling these temps for 3 years so I guess they are ok with them. (unless they just crap out soon )

Also I put in the windows experience index numbers in my first post just in case they might help but I guess not .
