What's going on everybody. Well here is my new build my music production PC. Running like a beast I'm glad I chose this route. Already thinking of moving up to 8 gigs of ram. Working on the cable management but can't do much with this case. Might upgrade that soon. Here are the specs of my pc.

Phenom II X4 965 BE
M4A88TD-V Evo
4 Gigs of Corsair DDR-3 Memory 1033
XFX Radeon HD 5670
Coolermaster Hyper 212+
Thermaltake V3 Case
Corsair Memory Builder Series 500 Watt PSU

nice system however I woulda grabbed a 1055T over the 965 for almost the same price

nice build!
i went from a single core@2.4ghz that would clip when cubase was running loads of fx to a quad@3ghz and i cannot use even an eighth of the system resources!
for that reason alone it was well worth the upgrade for me...

I have an issue you may know the solution for:

I was using spectrasonics trilogy for sub ambients on my old system and i was at least sensible enough to have all the VST's and VSTi's on a seperate drive when my HD died.

Upon reinstall i cant get trilogy to recognise the 3gb(!) .dat file,
so trilogy is unusable without the dat,is there a way without reinstalling (i lost the disks) to edit a file for the host to find this file?

damn that sucks for real. I'm not too sure on what to do though because I haven't used trilogy before. Only thing I can think of is either renaming the new hard drive to what it was before, moving the file to a different location if installed somewhere else, or whatever program you use try rescanning the vsti's and see if that works. That's the only thing I can think of without reinstalling.

Sucks that you had to choose of all things generic RAM, I could've suggested something a lot better for cheaper. However seeing as you have a black edition it shouldn't hold back your overclock. Then again, an upgrade is an upgrade!

It's all good I'm not too much of an overclocker cause mainly its a music production pc only. Where I'm at now it's nice and stable. I was going to go with the G Skill ripjaws but damn microcenter doesnt sell that brand. I'm the kind of guy that if I buy something on the spot it needs to be in my hand I hate waiting lol. All good though thanks.
