I have to buy Windows 7?! - Page 3

Name another piece of software that you depend on that you run 24/7, that runs with little to no bugs, that you will use for the next 3-5 years. Just pay them up; heck your GPU cost more then the OS, and will you be 100% sure you will use it for the next 3-5 years?
I totally agree! Buying a Windows license isn't throwing away money on a useless thing. I'm using one of the Action Pack licenses, that i believe to be one of the most fantastic MS bundles there is, for a micro-company. the only thing i don't like is that it doesn't include a 64-bit OS license, so i am currently stuck ate 32-bit, but maybe next year or so they'll start sending those, or i'll buy one

What the hell is this other person talking about? Don't get the version that comes with Office. There is no Win 7 version that comes with Office, get a clue!!

I can understand that you are only 17 and you've spent a bunch of money. It's a bit sad that you didn't realize that you would have to purchase it from the beginning. You are young and I really think you need to just do the right thing and buy it. Considering the money you've already spent, another $99 isn't that much. Just find a way to do the right thing so you can be responsible and have a clear conscience.

This is not true. Most users are business users and they most likely pay for it.

if i'm not mistaken, 32 bit keys work with 64 bit edition dvd's?

there is a thread in the operating systems->windows section about how to obtain legit iso's for windows 7, as long as you have the keys.

Everyone can get win 7 professional for free here.
Most colleges will sell them cheap. Just need to talk to a System Administrator in charge of that kinda stuff.
