Cooler Master HAF X / Storm Sniper

I might eventually consider getting one of these cases.

What is the cheapest one has seen for these including shipping?

I know that Amazon currently has the HAF X (Sold by J&R Music and Computer World) for $179.99 + Free Shipping.

The Storm Sniper case currently @ $149.99 + Free Shipping @ Amazon.

I know that NewEgg gets mentioned but being that I live in NJ anything ordered with them gets taxed @ 7%.

I'm awaiting in the next week or so when the Presidents day sales happen to see but need a price gauge to go with.

Thanks.

Are you referring to the Storm Sniper regular edition? or Storm Sniper Black?

I had tinkered with the Storm Sniper Black (great case by the way), before moving into a HAF X

I guess you can think of the Storm Sniper Black, as the baby brother to the HAF X.
Both are fantastic.

If you don't like the LED's on the front you can turn them off, and you can change out the fans really easily.

What components do you plan on putting into the case?

For myself, I am more than satisfied with the HAF X, it should last through a few upgrades.

Either way, both are great cases, and you cant really go wrong with either.
However if you are looking for more space, then stick to the HAF X.
Its well worth the extra money.

edit: My apologies, I seemed to have posted in quite a few HAF X related threads, and might seem a bit biased.
For the record, I do own quite a few computer cases, as I'm studying their designs, and in the process of designing my own. I find it helps to have a lot of variety to choose from, so I can see what I like/dislike.

Both great cases.
I'd say depends on the build really. If you are doing a ultra high end pc, go for haf x or mid-high end, go for sniper.
One note on the sniper though, cable management could have been better its still good.

Still have one tonn air flow

Sorry it's the Storm Sniper Black Edition - do they still sell that case without the black interior, I haven't seen them lately.

I'm solely seeking about what was the best price including shipping was ever seen with these cases so then when a "sale" comes along I'll be able to ascertain whether it's a good deal or not.

My computers will be air cooled.

I already have a HAF 912 Basic for my 3rd computer in fact can be seen in my profile album

I don't think I want my other two cases to also be a HAF 912 - that would be too boring as I like some "variety".

The other two computers that need new case homes are processor wise an Intel Q6600 and AM2 5000+ on ATX motherboards.

This is the smart way to go about it.

In terms of sales, I have not really seen any specials in recent weeks.

However, I've heard rumors, that there should be a lot of releases in March/April.

If you can wait, I'd probably recommend seeing what comes next, so you can have a better view of the entire picture.

What I'm asking what was the lowest anyone has seen these cases were shipped in past history.

If there's no presidents day great deals in the coming week or so then by default I'll wait as I'm really in no great hurry though I had to take apart my flagship computer (the Q6600 one) because the computer case it was in was a liability. So it's down to 2 computers for now - lol!

This past black friday sale I picked up the HAF X for ~$100 after shipping. ($79.99 before tax/shipping)

I recall the 800D dropping to $199 (Canadian dollars for both, our exchange rate is on par with the USD.)

Excellent knockout price for the HAF X.

Now to tell the retailers here in the USA to do the same.
