Unlocking 3rd and 4th core on Phenom II X2 N620

Thread Starter
look, i know u will be asking "why do it on a laptop" "cos my desktop is crap".
I have heard (and researched) that Phenom II X2s have a 3rd and 4th core but i was wondering if u can unlock the 3rd or 4th core (Or do anything better to this CPU) on a laptop version Phenom II X2?
I am quite new at this so don't be harsh

a laptop right?
and a generic motherboard?

these 2 factors will make it not possible to unlock cores

The motherboard needs to be 'core unlock' compatible with the feature in the BIOS.

If your motherboard BIOS does not have this feature, I'm afraid it would not be possible.

Mobile Phenom II's don't have a L3 cache. The architecture of the chip is newer than the standard Phenom II so core unlocking even with the right board might not be possible. Besides, could you imagine the heat of core unlocking in a laptop?
