As long as you understand that NOTHING you do will give you a playable experience.

You obviously disturbed contact between the heatsink and cpu. If you have high minimals and it goes up against throttle 90c then you need to yank heatsink and reset. Or if you have too small of heatsink and you simply upped voltage which you said you didn't know how to do so that can't be it.

Pull the heatsink clean it. Reapply compound according to instructions. Replace.

If it's just doing it while playing than you have maxed cpu problem. Anything from the 50 watt thunderbird up to these 90 watt pentium 4's do NOT like being at 100 percent duty cycle. Which a modern game put them at. A simple patch to up frame rate on everquest fried out a bunch of thunderbirds and early pentium 4's just by constantly yanking on their chain.
I haven't played this game but if it's trying to do physics on the cpu and you have that enabled it's going to put that thing in 100 percent duty cycle easy.

You're not giving much information so hard to help you. Looking at your pic you got vcore up at 1.3 volts which 1.25 volts is stock on most of those.
