COOLER MASTER Hyper N 520

Thread Starter
Hi, I am looking to buy custom cooling for my CPU.. Thats what I had in mind..

My budget is around 40-55$, no more than that.

My case is a NXZT Lexs, and I have both the 120mm fans on the top of the case, and I was wondering if I would have enough clearance. From eye balling it I would say I have about an 2 and a half inches at best from my CPU to the fans.

My mobo is the one on my sig rig (am3 socket..)

This is my first time doing this, so if everything I need is not in the packaging, (like backplates and such) please let me know..

Thanks, and +rep to helpful posters

I am new to all of these things you guys do on a daily basis, I am trying to learn

Edit: Just looked at it.. Its cheaper.. Is it better or worse than the one I picked out?? The one I picked out looks like a beast compared to that 212+.. But, I am going soley on looks here...

Yes the hyper 212+ is imo one of the best cheap coolers out there, amazing performance out of it. HDT allows for heatsinks to be cheap and to be right up there in performance.

Awesome! I take it that this has everything I need for a complete installation, and that its compatible with my current rig?

ypu it supports lga775,am2,am3,lga1156,lga1366, am2+. I might consider replacing the fan as it's a tad loud imo and there's much better fans out there, but it's still a fine fan. It even has the clips for a second fan.

It's on sale for $23.99 at microcenter too. Or fry's (bought one yesterday for a budget build) for $29.99 and then do a price match and they will drop it to $23.99 like they did for me.
