1090T/1100T Compatibility

Thread Starter
I dont like making post for question that most liklely have been asked already but I couldn't find anything. I did post in the 1090T owners thread but I havent recieved a reply...Should I purchase a 1100 or a 1090T...From what Ive seen the 1100T isnt that big a upgrade...And would the 1090T be a decent fit for my system specs and how easy is it to over clock?

Buy the 1090T
If I were you, I would buy a heatsink for the Voltage Regulators, and after that I start OCing

I got 3.6GHz on my 1090T with the stock cooler & stock voltage, and the temps weren't that different. It's when you go for 3.8GHz that things get a little hairy on the stock gear.

I've been running an H70 for a few days now and I can share this much: I got to 3.8GHz with a half-tick up in voltage using PhenomMsrTweaker. I'm currently benching 3.9GHz at a VID of 1.44v (according to CPU-Z) as I write this post. So far, so good. Prime95 has it up to 40C right now.

I run at 1.40 volts at 4GHZ (20 times 200) and Prime after 5 hours got up to 21C. I love the Scythe Mugen 2.

I'm jealous. The H70 is easy-mode, but it's nowhere near the top-tier coolers.

Try priming at 1.4V regardless of speed and see your temps, they should be close to mine.
