Compaq Presario C715NR Gaming Question

Thread Starter
Hey guys. I have a Compaq C715NR which is kind of old, I don't know exactly know how old but I had it for a while. My question is.. Is it possible to get better performance in low end gaming and such. I play Final Fantasy XI and World of Warcraft, When I first played them on this laptop the performance was terrible with around 10 fps. but increased to around 23 fps with firmware updating, I have always understood that World of Warcraft is cpu bound

With that being said would I get better performance by switching to a SSD and adding dual channel so-dimm ddr2?

These are the products I'm choosing to get if there are better prices please do tell

About the graphics performance, there's no way to improve it except if you update the drivers. Intel's IGP aren't oveclockable as far as I know.

Those upgrades may improve overall performance, they will certainly make the laptop feel snappier. However you should choose a 2x1GB kit as the motherboard doesn't support more than 2GB of RAM in total:
