Firefox beta users, check your cache. Is it just me?

So I made a previous thread about my Firefox beta cache.

Basically, FF Beta 11 is freezing every so often for 1-2 seconds, then continuing to function normally. I ran CCleaner and in just a little under two days, FF Beta 11 built up over 1,000,000KBs of cache.

Is anyone else having a VERY LARGE cache number?

So to make sure it wasn't just a bug at the time with CCleaner, I did another test. Here are the results so far.

*I just did my yearly reformat four days ago, it's not any software complications, registry errors, etc.*

Day 1:

Day 2:

Yes that is WoW in both images, sue me.

Look at the amount of internet cache buildup. How is this even REMOTELY possible? I don't understand it at all.

I would clear my cache every week with the live version of FF, and in a weeks time it wouldn't even get CLOSE to that.

Please, check your cache.. Tell me if you're having similar issues.

I'm honestly going to have to stop using the beta at this point. This is a horrible issue, and it happens very frequently (the slow-downs).

Nope. Been frequently using beta 11 since it came out and it's at 80MB right now. I've never emptied the cache nor set a cache limit override.

What the hell is wrong with mine then?

Try this: Go to advanced->network options, clear the cache and override the limit to something like 100MB.

One question. Do you have the skype addon enabled?

If yes, just disable it.

Only addon I have installed is Noscript, just checked and the Skype addon isn't installed via extensions or plugins.

It wasn't even set to override, does that sound like the issue at hand? I've never messed with Firefox's cache before, all I know is it never ever got that large.

Enter "about:config" in the url box. Filter for "cache". Take a screenshot of the result.

Thanks for your help so far.

Those were the results after clearing the cache and setting the override to "100".

Should stay under control from now on. Just to be safe use the built-in cache clearing function instead of ccleaner from now on.

Cache is already 61.3MB/s and counting.... Still locking up here & there, I'm just going to go back to official FF or beta 10.

This is pissing me off.
