So yeah, my DBA class are experimenting with Oracle on a windows 7 64 bit system. Problem is, Oracle and windows 7 aren't that compatible. Upon countless hours browsing Oracles forms, we finally found a way to get it to at least run and isntall on Windows via running it on XP compatibility

Problem is when we run Forms builder to run the application we get a blank page because J Initiator isn't supported on Windows 7 64.

So, does anyone have any experience doing this? We are running out of gas saying that it just isn't possible and installing a Virtual Machine or Dual booting shouldn't be the only way we are allowed to access this software. Tried installing an older version of IE since J Initiator isn't supported from IE6+ but the older IE aren't supported by 64 bit OS.

/sigh Microsoft and Oracle.
