The amount of people that think BFBC2 was great, even though it is a terribly buggy port, just goes to show how desperate PC gamers are.
"We'll take a crappy console port, because we don't know anything better!"
Everyone knew BC2 was a port. Nobody, including the developer, is claiming otherwise. It was a console game only in the beginning (Bad Company 1), and they just gave BC2 to PC gamers as well.
Battlefield 2 was a PC game. And a fantastic one. They also made a console port of that (nobody remembers Modern Combat?). They are now claiming that PC will be the main focus of BF3. Much like BF2 was. And they are making console ports of that. Just like BF2.

Yes, but right now we don't have the game to judge how it plays. We can speculate and get information straight from the developer, who has so far done nothing to make us doubt them. Dice hasn't lied about making ports or tried to cover up for a crappy one.
In fact, BC2 is one of the better console to PC ports around. It's not that terribly buggy. Also note that pretty much every game there is has its share of bugs, port or not.
