And anyways, DICE was behind BFBC2 as well... and that had console port written all over it. I'm very iffy; hopefully the DICE team behind BFBC2 is not influencing BF3 in any way shape or form. And I don't really want to be iffy. BF2 was one of my favorite games.

EA killed the CnC series. Hopefully their influence doesn't kill BF either.
Bad Company was the console side of the battlefield series, the fact that bc2 was a console port is no surprise. That being said as far as console ports go it is one of the best, it actually utilizes modern computer cpus and gpus unlike the vast majority of console ports and added things like higher player count for pc.

They will reuse code from battlefield Bad Company 2 and this whole project will ruin their reputation 100%... mark my words...

They will just take existing resources reuse them and make new maps, touch up Bad Company 2 and call it Battlefield 3....

It will be total bs, watch!

Battlefield & Bad Company have left a REALLY BAD TASTE in many people's mouth for 1 major reason...

Cheaters...

I KNOW they will be cheating on this game within a week to a month...

They didn't stop them before, what makes Dice believe we will believe they are gonna stop them in the future?

Punkbuster always has been a fail, therefore....

This game has fail pre-written all over it from the word go....

I have 1% faith in this game maker, the online game will suck, just like all the ones before them...

I only want online games, if I wanted offline, I'd go get a console, and that's the bottom line!

I guess someone has to be the negative nancy in this thread of Dice Love ^
Every game is going to have cheaters... some will have less and some more that is about the only distinction between them.

DICE has no excuses to not make this an epic game. They are STILL getting sales from BF2 from so many years ago, and the community is still there. If they do things right again, they can expect the same, long time sales and success + lasting community. Although some of BF2's longevity was attributed to the mod scene, hopefully they will release tools for BF3 to really keep this going.

And if they're telling the truth, this is how games should be made. Consoles have one set of hardware. You can work out/fix all the bugs for that much easier than the thousands of different configurations you're going to get on PC. Valve actually makes the code on both platforms and ports it back and forth as they work on the game, or at least that's what they did in Left 4 Dead, and that's certainly proved successful. (Okay, Left 4 Dead 2 has a few issues on the 360, but overall it's not that severe.)

Good to hear that some game developers are still loyal to the PC after all these years

Gee, you are so good at predicting the future. Please stop talking and go away, all you do is spread speculation and misinformation in every post I see by you.
