Lenovo Thinkpad Wont Post

Thread Starter
Well I have a lenovo thinkpad R500 I believe and I have it plugged in and when I press the power button to turn it on it wont turn on whatsoever the charge light wont even turn on. Ive tried removing the batterie and trying to boot and just about everyother imaginable idea. The hardrive still works fine. Can you guys tell me what the problem is here im leaning towards cpu failure but if it is some weird glitch can you tell me how to remendy it. Thanks

The cpu should be fine. Sounds like a charging jack, charger, or motherboard problem. I'd check out the charging jack first, wiggle it, see if it charges. If moving the jack around helps, resolder the jack and enjoy your laptop.
