could i host a website of an FTP?

I actually do most of my website updates via FTP. Just get a good free ap like cuteftp or something of that nature.

Just pretty much get into your main webfolder w/ the index.html and upload away!

I'm assuming you've already paid for a domain name? Other than that you can point DNS to your hosting.

no not yet. so if i pay for the domain. i can host it from an FTP service? and the site will run like a normal site if i get that app and stuff?
