No one can tell you what the "best" anything is until you define YOUR definition of "best". Best could be the best value, best overclocking, the lowest operating voltage, the prettiest color, etc.
As far as recommendations sure everyone has an opinion as to what is "Best" based on THEIR definition of "Best".
As far as the Asus Crosshair is concerned any DDR3 rated for the CPU brand you are using *should* work but in reality that is not always the case and can vary by mobo/CPU or RAM Kit. You can always e-mail Asus and the RAM maker before you purchase to see if there is any known issues with the RAM you decide to purchase.
Since the color Red and Black seems to be part of your definition of "best" your options are more limited.
Geil offers some Red and Black as does Corsair. Numerous RAM suppliers offer black RAM.
If you are going with 16 GB. I recommend ONE 2x 8GB. RAM kit
as long as it's competitively priced with ONE 4x 4 GB. kit
. Mixing of two RAM kits - per Corsair does not guarantee that the RAM will in fact run at the advertised frequency or latencies of a single RAM kit.Edited by AMD4ME - 5/28/12 at 8:40pm
