Have you tried OCing the GPU with stock cooling? I don't about the 6870 but my 5770 will hit 1000/1375 on stock cooling with a fan speed of 60% and stay in the acceptable range (60~75C)

thats not much of an OC. But personally I would call those temps safe. I would go for the cpu cooling and crank that puppy up. I personally will be getting the h50 Something about the swiveling elbows on the h70 just gives me the willies.

it's all about bottlenecking.... try benchmarking tool 3dMark and check what gives better score CPU or GPU, this test can give you a better tip what to upgrade first
but remember with faster CPU graphic card works better

downloading now, but i have a problem with the Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo Pro. i dont think it will fit, i have 2-2.5cm clearance from the top of the card to the side fan.

ordered up the VF3000A, the arctic cooling would not fit my case due to the longer heatpipes.
