MOBO : ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO AM3 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD

CPU : AMD Athlon 2 Dula-Core

Ram : G.Skill 4GB Ripjaws

Cooling : Stock

HDD : None yet. I will stick with what I have for the time being, until more funds are available. Will probably go with Hitachi 1TB.

Case : NZXT M59 - 001BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower

Fans : Stock 2 x 122 mm side/rear


CD Drive : Hitachi DVD-RW Lite-Scribe

Video Card: Radeon HD 5770

PSU : OCZ 600W "Stealth XStream"



I'll get photos up in a few. Please feel free to offer suggestions as far as HDD. Not sure yet if the HDD I have in my EMachine will work with this setup.I am just waiting on my MOBO. Which is what I am concerned about, the delivery. I am in Massachusetts, and the MOBO has just left East Boston, on it's was to Connecticut... ? That seems a bit odd, going hours out of the way, as they expect delivery on the 14th, and it is the 10th. Though, I can say that I was surprised that it took just a day after I ordered, for a majority of the parts to arrive.

For a HHD get yourself a good ol' Spinpoint F3/F4.

welp, forget that idea! only thing not integrated is my hdd/dvd drive, obviously.

ill take a look on bestbuys website. but im sure they will probably charge me outrageous amounts. and i kinda want this for when my mobo comes in. argh.

can someone please tell me what parts i will need to search for, for the mobo?

apparently being an "open box" item, it does not mean that they would take the small amount of time it would take to toss in a wire and a cd, and whatever else. i got the mobo just now, which was left on a friggin snow bank, on a HUGE chunk of us (thanks, ups). now i am stuck with this thing and can't hook it up.

man, this sucks. there has to be a way i can go about this?

hm, yanno what? i'll get this sorted. i may suck with the techno-speak, and whatnot. but one thing i am a master of, is making the best of what i have.

so i have taken a piece of thin foamy stuff, layed that badboy across the bottom (or in this "case" (hehe), the side... and positioned the mobo in its place. i found some screws from an old set up, the exact screws (hehe), and now i am screwin' those s.o.b.'s in place.

now, for the wire that is sposed to come with it? hmmm.. oh, what is this i spy with my little glass eyeball? ha! the proper wire!

GREAT SUCCESS! (knock on wood)

i shall report back when this mission is complete. *salutes*

Hold-on! You have stand-off's? that and some sata cables for hdd and dvd drive. Ask around I'm pretty sure someone will even send you some in the mail, they have no weight lol.

Yes. Got the SATA for HDD/DVD. No Stand-offs, I used some foamy-type stuff, its packing material, thin. Do you think that would be enough between the case and the mobo, or does it need to be actually OFF the mobo, too much to risk??

I'll post a photo up if needed. Not having these stand-offs, I know its not always a good thing to use what you got handy, but this I know I can do. If I have to make something to do it, and make it work properly, I can do that no problem. I went to Best Buy and picked up a Serial ATA2.0 Cable. I am assuming this is what was missing. I talked to 2 guys at the store, they said this is what I needed. Simply told them that all I got was the mobo, and nothing else. So I'll get this sorted, I hope, and then go to manufacturers website and get the drivers.

I would pick up some standoffs.. I wouldn't risk not using them.. If I had extra I'd send you some... but sadly I don't even have one extra...

please don't say its stryofoam its very prone to holding static charges if you put that under your mobo it could severely damage it.

Please use standoff's I think bestbuy might even carry them.
