Want a used gaming laptop

Thread Starter
I'm looking for a used or refurbished gaming laptop that can run all of today's games, looking for one with a 9800gt, gt 260m, or a 5650 graphics card. Don't care about screen size, and would like it to be under $600, under $500 if possible, once again I want it to be used, unless it's possible to get a new one for that price.

for 800 you could get this rig.

I have personally used this laptop and it is an absolute beast.

I know it is over the budget, but I just wanted to show you a good one for a great price.

Would this be the best laptop for $800?

I would say yes, there are only like two video cards above that one it has.

I have played many games on it and it holds up very well. Max settings on everything. and that i5 is a beast.

If it is an option, i would say save for that laptop.

How about a Gateway FX laptop? This one is $450 with 2 days remaining. Epic laptop.

Core 2 Duo P8400 @ 2.26GHz
4GB DDR2
320GB HDD
1GB 9800M GTS
17" Screen (I think it's 1440x900)

Yeah... deal.

I really wouldn't go for the gateway, they are terrible computers.
plus that 9800 isn't going to game anywhere near what that 5730 can do.

Sorry if I hurt anybody's feelings in my post but the HD 5730 is poop when compared to the GTX 260m. The GTX 260m is on average about 40% better than the HD 5730
Check Here
In NFS Shift on High settings, the GTX 260m is around 86% better.
EDIT: Press the + next to the NFS settings on ultra, then look at the GTX 260m

Want a good laptop with a GTX 260m thats around your budget?
Look HERE-This one is $630

Now THIS one is the one I'm going to get and it is slightly better in every way for around $100 more.

For the best performance refurbished is the way to go!!!!!

the GTX260m is not 86% better in shift, I just looked it only said 46%. I understand you are making a point, but please properly quote the facts.
